Casasol Bamboo Yarn is spun from 100% recycled bamboo and is not blended with other fibers. The yarn is therefore entirely plant-based and biodegradable in nature.

It's a pleasure to knit with these unique and soft fibers. The yarn's silky sheen provides elegance and comfort.

Casasol bamboo yarn holds the DETOX TO ZERO certification from OEKO TEX®. This means that the yarn is free from harmful substances throughout the supply chain. The yarn is therefore dyed without the use of carcinogenic or allergenic substances – for our environment, for the people working with the dyeing process, and for us who knit with the yarn.

Casasol bamboo yarn is perfectly suited for baby clothes and children's clothing with its soft, breathable fibers. The yarn is also great for summer tops or T-shirts for both children and adults.

Bamboo has a heavy drape and is therefore not as suitable for larger sweaters or larger knitting projects.

Bamboo as a sustainable alternative to most cotton yarns

Bamboo is known for its exceptionally fast growth and natural propagation from its own seeds. The cultivation of bamboo requires neither artificial fertilizers nor pesticides. Therefore, bamboo cultivation requires minimal effort.

The environmental friendliness of individual yarns depends on the manufacturing process. Casasol bamboo yarn undergoes the same careful handling and control as the company's other yarn types, to ensure that the bamboo yarn is produced with the greatest possible consideration for both the environment and the people involved in the production.
