Produktinformation

This is a product from Sweden made with wool from Gotland sheep, meaning it is BOTH made from domestic wool AND all processing steps have taken place within the country. The wool is collected in Gotland and Central Sweden, washed in Gotland, and then carded and spun at a spinning mill in Visby.

The wool is spun and plied into a four-ply semi-worsted yarn. The result is a compact and tightly twisted yarn with a beautiful sheen.

The natural grey yarn color is created from natural grey locks from 100% Gotland sheep. The wool comes from ewes with slightly varying grey shades, but when blended, the typical metallic grey or silver-grey color characteristic of Gotland sheep is achieved. The natural white yarn color is created from 100% Gotland sheep.

The natural black yarn color is created by sorting out the darkest locks from the Gotland sheep and washing them separately.

The light grey color is a blend of Leicester and Gotland sheep's natural grey locks.
