Aros Sweater

The Aros Sweater is knitted from top to bottom, first back and forth on the circular needle to shape the neckline, and then around on the circular needle. The yoke is constructed in such a way that shoulder increases are first knitted on the right and wrong side. Then armhole increases are knitted, and finally a piece with raglan increases is knitted. The elastic edge of the neck is finally knitted from the picked up stitches and folded double. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double pointed needles or with Magic Loop technology.

The Aros Sweater has stripes in eight different colors. The sweater can also be knitted in one color or in stripes with fewer different colors.

Knit a test patch to find the stitch size that gives you the right stitch strength.

If an Aros Dress is desired instead of an Aros Sweater, just lengthen the torso so that it is dress length.

Size guide

The Aros Sweater should have a range of motion ( positive ease) of approx. 6 cm in relation to your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL correspond to a bust measurement, measured on your own body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120- 130 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are indicated on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the knit strength is maintained). Before you start knitting, measure yourself to determine which size fits you best. If you e.g. ex. measures 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size A. A shirt in size S has a width of 95 cm and in the mentioned example will give a range of motion ( positive ease ) of 5 cm. If you extend to dress length, the range of motion ( positive ease ) around the bodice should be 0 cm or greater.
