Novice Slipover Man is knitted top down in stocking stitch. First the back piece is knitted, and then stitches are picked up in the cast-on edge of the back piece to form shoulders, which are later joined at the front to knit the front piece. The back and front piece are then brought together under the armhole to form the torso, which is knitted in the round on a circular needle. Finally, elastic edges are knitted along the neckline and armholes. There are instructional videos for all steps in the pattern.

Size guide

Novice Slipover Man should have a range of motion (positive ease) of approx. 10 cm in relation to your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement of 86-91 (91-96) 96-101 (101-107) 107-113 (113-119) 119-124 ( 124-132) 132-144 cm. The measurements of the finished slipover are given on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine which size will fit you best. If you e.g. measures 101 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size L. A slipover in size L has an overall width of 111 cm and in the mentioned example will give a range of movement (positive ease) of 10 cm.
