100% lyocell, a glossy and fine yarn that is suitable for both garments and shawls.

A beautiful shiny 6-strand spun yarn that comes in several pure colors, and also in many multi-colored varieties.

The yarn is used for various projects and is much appreciated by everyone who enjoys knitting shawls and "light" garments.

But what really differentiates normal viscose from lyocell? The most important difference is not the original material of the fiber, but the chemical treatment method that the cellulose undergoes.

In the production of ordinary viscose, carbon disulphide (a sulfur compound) is usually used to produce the chemical so-called slurry, from which viscose fiber is made. The process is polluting and the residual products are not fully recyclable.

Lyocell viscose is not only resistant, moisture absorbent and permeable, it is also produced in a minimally polluting process where N-Methylmorpholine -N-oxide (NMMO) is included. The process means that the residual products are fully recyclable, and according to studies, they break down in eight days.
