Mati Ventrillon's knitting patterns are based on the technique that has been used for centuries on the island of Fair Isle.

The book contains 15 knitting descriptions as well as tips on techniques, yarns and finishing. Here you can find larger items such as vests, ponchos and several sweaters for both men and women. Among the smaller knitting projects you will find wrist warmers, hats, fingerless mittens and scarves. Two-colour knitting with Shetland yarn in wool produces dense and warm garments that withstand both weather and wind.

Fair Isle technology has a long history on the Scottish island. Here, traditional craftsmanship has been passed down for generations. The typical patterns and the special technique make the garments both beautiful and fun to knit. In addition to patterns and knitting instructions, the book is full of inspiring and beautiful photographs from Fair Isle.
